Labeled as the “Material Masters” by one of South Africa’s biggest print publications, Bona Magazine in 2015 – AMEN Interior Fashion continues to break design boundaries in the local fashion and textile industry as a contemporary unisex brand based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Founded in 2012 by designers Abiah Mahlase and Bradley Mutitt, the AMEN brand reflects the moods of men and women who dare to remain unique with a permissive approach to life. The label specializes in customized haute couture classics in attractive prints and sequences, using intricate materials.  Their design ethos is versatile, merging some traditional methods and new techniques of design to form exaggerated shapes for oversized jackets, dresses, and pants in daring prints and illustrations that tend to make bold and fearless statements.

Their customer is a collector of style stories and experiences, a junkie in search of the curation of fashion elements that explore contemporary African identities. They – just like the brand – look at fashion beyond the way of dressing and with the “So be it” attitude, often tapping into androgyny. The clothing reflects the journey of sharing between Africa and the world.

The creatives behind AMEN Interior Fashion are a multi-talented duo whose achievements are varied and diverse. Abiah Mahlase, one of AMEN’s creative designers gained his notoriety in local fashion when he starred as a lead in South Africa’s first reality show, Cream Cartel, which showed the lives of fashion trendsetters in South Africa while Bradley Muttitt’s career in fashion arouse when he became national merchandiser, working for brands such as Pringle of Scotland, Ben Sherman, and Mango.
